Duke Nukem Forever After a loading screen, I cannot move my character
We are aware of this issue and are currently investigating it.
In the mean time, many affected users are reporting a successful workaround:
During loading, open the Steam overlay by pressing Shift-Tab and then close it again.
Please try this workaround in your game to see if it allows you to continue playing. We'll post more information as it becomes available.
