Manually Uninstalling Origin

To manually uninstall Origin, you will need to edit your system registry and remove the folders in a two-part process. This will remove all traces of Originfrom your system.

NOTE: If you remove Origin, you will lose accessibility and playability to any downloaded games and manuals until you reinstall Origin.

Remember that editing your computer's registry or files incorrectly can severely damage your operating system. We recommend having a computer professional perform these steps. If you are confident, however, that you can edit your registry successfully, then please follow the instructions below carefully.

To remove all of the game folders:

1. OpenMy Computer.
2. Open your hard drive (by default, Originis installed on theC drive).
3. Open the Program Files folder (Program Files (X86 for 64-bit).
4. Open the Electronic Arts folder.
5. Right-click on theOriginfolder and choose Delete.
6. A "Confirm Folder Delete " window will appear; choose Yes.
7. Also in the Program Files folder, go to the InstallShield Installation Information.
   *If you cannot find this folder you may have to go to Tools > Folder Settings and click the setting to “SHOW hidden folders ".
8. Right-click on the{EF7E931D-DC84-471B-8DB6-A83358095474} entry and choose Delete.
9. A “Confirm Folder Delete” window will appear; choose Yes.
10. When the folder is deleted, close the window.
11. Right-click on yourRecycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.

Now you can remove the registry keys for the game:

1. Click on Start and then click on Run...
2. In the text line type regedit, then click OK.
3. Click on File and then Export...
4. Choose a location and name for the file (this will be your backup registry file).
5. Click Save.

The next steps will all be performed in the left pane of the Registry Editor window:

1. Click on the + next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
2. Click on the + next to SOFTWARE.
   For 64-bit systems, this should be Wow6432Node
3. Click on the + next to Electronic Arts.
4. Right-click onEA Corefolder and choose Delete.
5. Click on the + next to Microsoft.
6. Click on the + next to Windows.
7. Click on the + next to Current Version.
8. Click on the + next to Uninstall.
9. Right-click on{EF7E931D-DC84-471B-8DB6-A83358095474}and choose Delete.
10. A Confirm Key Delete window will appear, choose Yes.

If you also need to remove the cache associated with Origin, please do the following:

1. Open My Computer.
2. Double-click the C drive. (By default, this is where the cache folder is created. If you previously specified a different location for the cache folder, you will need to delete that custom folder.)
3. Double-click the ProgramData folder.
4. Double-click the Electronic Arts folder.
5. Right-click on Originand choose Delete.
6. A “Confirm Folder Delete” window will appear; choose Yes.

Originhas now been completely removed from your system.
